The parts people are right to think carefully about are design decisions. These are ours, on every build.
- Read-only to start. Anything that writes to a record is scoped, agreed and tested separately before it goes near your systems.
- A person you name approves. Anything reaching a customer, or touching money, waits for someone specific.
- A written list of what it never touches. Agreed with you up front, and just as important as the list of what it can.
- Check the important details. We test for missing information and conflicting sources. AI can still be wrong, so your team reviews important outputs.
- Agree the recovery plan. Logging, stop controls and recovery are scoped for the system involved. Some actions, such as sending an email, cannot be undone.
Guardrails reduce risk rather than remove it, and we would rather say that plainly. It is exactly why a person still approves anything that matters.

Where do most people start?
With the Opportunity Session. Three hours, and you come away knowing which one thing is worth doing first and what it costs. If you already know which process is slow, you can skip straight to building it.
Do you change the systems we already use?
No. Your systems stay exactly as they are. We remove the manual work that happens around them, which is usually where the time actually goes.
Do we have to keep paying you every month?
No. Everything we build is designed to stand on its own. You can look after it yourself, come back when you need us, or add a monthly plan later. Plans are optional.
What are the costs beyond your fees?
Claude subscriptions, API usage and hosting may be separate. Any included allowances and additional costs are written down during scoping and agreed before we build. Ongoing support is optional.
How do you keep this safe?
Everything starts read-only. Anything that writes to a record is scoped and tested separately, a person you name approves anything that matters, and we write down what the system must never touch. Those rules are yours, in your words.
Are you a Claude or Anthropic reseller?
No. MasterKey IT is an independent Australian consultancy. We build on Claude, made by Anthropic, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller for Anthropic.
Do you work outside Melbourne?
Yes. Everything except on-site days is delivered remotely and we work with businesses across Australia. On-site work beyond metropolitan Melbourne is quoted separately.
